Amanda Manku is a South African actress who was born in Zebediela, Limpopo. She is 25 years old and has already achieved half of her dreams in the career world. She first started her TV career as a presenter on Soweto TV. Amanda also had a role on the talk show, Dlala nge Ringas when she was only 16 years old in 2007.
Amanda also had a role as a presenter on SABC educational programmes which includes Matric Uploaded and Geleza Nathi. She also worked on Yo-TV and the Asidlali Soccer Show as a presenter. This shows how experienced Amanda is in the TV world. Her dream is to be in the production teams of most of the top shows in the country including sport shows.
She studied for film production at AFDA Film School in Johannesburg where she obtained a BA degree in motion pictures. She is still thinking about furthering her studies on TV production and other related matters that could open more doors for her to be a director or a producer of TV shows.
On Skeem Saam as Elizabeth Thobakgale she is portrayed as a bright medical student who is facing the possibilities of losing her career focus due to focusing much of her attention on her boyfriend Mangaliso who is not sure of what he wants in life. She is currently on a wheelchair after an accident that was not meant for her.
Elizabeth is the daughter of the principal of Turf High School. She has been in good and bad terms with her mother due to her relationship with Mangaliso. Her mother is a strict parent and only hopes for her daughter to focus much of her attention to her studies than her boyfriend. She now faces the possibilities of not completing her studies as Lelo Mthiyane is back and leaving with her and Mangaliso and their child.
