Sunday night’s episode of Idols SA saw the judges being wowed by identical twins, Virginia and Viggy Qwabe, who simultaneously auditioned at the Durban leg of the competition.
This latest episode of Mzansi Magic’s Idols SA, which aired on Sunday, 15 July 2019, saw the team of judges visit Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, where a large group of singers auditioned for their approval. The auditions showcased a number of talented singers, as well as a range of eccentric characters who possessed no vocal ability, according to the panel of judges. Amongst those who impressed were Virginia and Viggy Qwabe, 21-year-old identical twins who share a passion for singing from a very young age.
The twins were immediately sent through to the next round, however, the judges teased that there was only one ticket left, making them choose who will be sent through. The sisters remained loyal to one another, with both denying the individual ticket. The judges then revealed it was a prank, sending both of them to the next round.

Fans took to social media to share their admiration for the twins, with many highlighting their indescribable harmony as well as their individual talent. Ayanda Msibi shared a tweet stating, “They love each other so much, it’s easy to see!”, whilst Babes Rochi stated, “[These] twins are gifted! I [would] give it to them!”.
This week’s auditions saw judges Unathi Nkayi, Somizi Mhlongo and Randall Abrahams joined by South African singer, Vusi Nova, who offered his advice to the aspiring singers.

Idols SA airs on Sundays at 17:30 on Mzansi Magic, DStv channel 161.
