Local actress Terry Pheto has just been nominated for a Black Reel Awards in the US for the portrayal of Winnie Mandela in the BET mini-series Madiba.
The Tsotsi star will be going against industry greats such as Oprah Winfrey and Nia Long in the outstanding actress in a TV Movie or Limited Series award.

The Black Reel Awards are an annual awards ceremony that recognises and celebrates the achievements of black people in feature, independent and television films, hosted by the Foundation for the Augmentation of African-Americans in Film (FAAAF) to recognise excellence in African-American.

And the actress’ star keeps shining as she recently also took home the award for Best Supporting Actress at the National Film Awards UK for her role in A United Kingdom.
