South African reality star and songbird, Kelly Khumalo who just celebrated her birthday and reaching a milestone on her recently released gospel album came out gun blazing over her loss of an award to Nyathi’s Baba Ziveze.

She feels like her song, Esiphambanweni which has garnered millions of views on YouTube and is still on the trending list couldn’t have been compared to Baba Ziveze by Nyathi.

She was nominated on The Crown Gospel Awards for the Best Gospel Song Award, competing with some of the best, the likes of Vusi Nova and Dumi Mkokstad’s Yibanathi, Tshwane Gospel Choir’s Imvuselelo and Nyathi’s Baba Ziveze.

And the winner of the awards was surprisingly Nyathi.

The controversial songbird just couldn’t hold back how hurt she is over the loss.

She came out on all her socials blasting the organizers of the awards, accusing them of foul play.

Kelly, who had earlier hyped her fans to vote, saw a win in the awards way before the votes were made. This because her song had been one of the most popular at the time and had garnered a huge number of listeners and views on all major streaming services.

But the unfortunate happened.
