Trouble looms over the SABC again, as another hit soap opera is reportedly on the brink of a shut down.

The SABC on Friday announced that after 21 years, Isidingo would air its final episode on March 12, 2020.

According to entertainment commentator Kgopolo Mphela, the cast of the popular SABC 2 soap opera Muvhango will stop working due to non-payment of salaries.

Reports claim that the cast has not been paid for two months and they have since given the SABC and their production company until this Friday at 2PM to pay or they will not show up for work on Monday.


Other reports state that production of the soapie has stopped.

“Production on Muvhango has been shut down after the crew and cast has been reportedly unpaid for two months,” according to TV with Tinus.
