SELIMATHUNZI presenter and actress, Khanya Mkangisa, was captured in a video swearing and threatening to beat up a woman old enough to be her mother. This shocking video was taken after an incident that made headlines at her complex after she bumped into a car parked next to hers. Move! is in possession of the video that surfaced after she went on radio to explain about what happened on the day of the incident. The day ended on an ugly note and her arrest.
The former child-star went on Metro FM’s afternoon drive show to answer questions after damning reports that she was involved in a hit-and-run.
During the interview, Khanya admitted to bumping the car and leaving her details. She went on to say the person who owns the car she bumped caused unnecessary drama when she came to her place with the police hours after the incident.
Khanya was very brief when relaying this story and when asked specifics, she could not account. She cried foul and claimed the matter was blown out of proportion and was clearly ‘personal’.
Katleho Mphuthi, the owner of the car Khanya bumped, tells Move! that she thought this would be a matter that they could resolve quickly but she was surprised that it wasn’t the case.
“I was really taken aback as things with her went south very quickly,” she says.
In one of the videos, a security guard talks to Khanya as she steps out of her black SUV. He says, “But why are you driving like this Khanya. I can see that you are under the influence?”
Khanya walks away after looking at the dent. She says, “Nna ka tsamaya ke lo robala” (I’m going to sleep).” She leaves the scene without leaving any details and says to the guard, “Akere otlatla” (you will come).
Katleho was told by the guard about what had happened and she was actually leaving for the gym minutes before the incident, so she left.
“I thought I would sort it out without any hassle when I return from the gym since the security guard saw Khanya,” she says.
After knocking on her door several times without a response from Khanya, Katleho decided to get the police involved hours later.
Little did she know she and her mother were about to experience Khanya’s fury. “I’m glad you are looking at me because as old as you are my mom’s age, I will slap you. I will smack you,” she said this while looking at Katleho’s mother.
Apart from the inconvenience of calling her insurance and waiting for her car to be fixed, Katleho says she has really moved on with her life. Khanya was arrested that night.
Move! tried to get hold of Khanya but she had not responded to questions asked to her at the time of going to print.
I WILL SLAP YOU. I WILL SMACK YOU
